For Business
Art Thinking
A breakthrough, not another tweak
Art Thinking is a method developed by Prof. Sylvain Bureau (ESCP Business School) and artist Pierre Tectin. It has been used by companies including Orange, Canon and Air France-KLM. I work with this method with teams in Poland.

What is Art Thinking
The question first, then the answer
Most methods help you find a solution faster. Art Thinking starts earlier: by questioning what the team takes for granted. That is how ideas are born that no spreadsheet would ever show.
Design Thinking
How can we better meet the customer’s need?
Art Thinking
What if that is the wrong question?
The methods don’t compete – they complement each other.
How it works
Six practices in three stages
Creating

Giving · Donate
You give something before you know whether it will pay off.

Shifting · Deviate
You place the familiar where it doesn’t belong.
Critique

Unlearning · Destroy
You remove ingrained habits and assumptions.

Drifting · Drift
You head into the unknown without a set goal.
Sharing

Dialogue · Dialogue
You refine the idea together with others.

Exhibition · Display
You show your work and take in the reactions.
After the session
What your company receives
Team report
Conclusions, selected questions and the rules the team wants to challenge.

A shared painting
One work made up of the work of all teams. It stays with your company.

Documentation
Photos of the session and the works created.

Follow-up
A meeting a few weeks later: results of small experiments and the changes made.

Who it’s for
When it’s worth it

Questions
Frequently asked
Does the team need to know how to paint?+
No. What matters is the way of thinking. Artistic exercises help you look at your own work from a different perspective.
How is Art Thinking different from Design Thinking?+
Design Thinking helps you better meet customer needs. Art Thinking questions the frame in which we assess those needs. The methods complement each other.
Does it compete with AI?+
No. AI gives fast answers, while Art Thinking develops the ability to ask questions and challenge frames. It is a skill machines cannot replace.
How much does it cost?+
Pricing is individual. We set it after a conversation about your needs and the size of your team.
